I taught high school Spanish for 10 years. I don’t believe teachers should limit themselves to one type of resource or approach to language acquisition. I don’t argue if we should explicitly teach grammar or use authentic resources with novices. No one knows your students and your classes better than you. If something works and helps your students acquire and use the language, go for it. Why limit ourselves when there are lots of different types of learners?
